I'm pretty positive the screw on fuel filters all have the same thread right? I would really like to replace my water separating fuel filter with one that has a drain. It's a PITA to unscrew it to dump out the water. In the summer I find myself doing it quite often here in Florida. I'm thinking something like this to replace it with? ![]() |

Same problem for me I hate it! There was someone here selling exactly that model I believe and he had two but I lost track of who it was. There has to be an easier way than to have to keep unscrewing that stupid filter and filling it back up periodically. I checked the price they run in the 90 dollar range the member who has them wanted 60 but I can't figure out who it was. ![]() |

This is for all Mercruiser with 11/16 in.-16 center thread. Raycor has the B32020MAM, which is like $80. Mallory Marine has 9-37883 which is a direct replacement for the Raycor kit, and it's $40. $43 shipped. Ordering it tomorrow http://www.boatpartheadquarters.com/Rac ... -37883.htm? |

Hey Ric, I too, want to buy one of these, but I can not for the life of me decipher what part number I need?! A normal Volvo Penta spin on filter doesn't fit and I'm currently using an Evinrude/ Johnson 502906 spin on. I've found a Racor B32021MAM, but unsure if my 502906 is a perfect replacement for thread size & element width? Stupid OMC/ Volvo crossover crap! ![]() |

Those are good filters, BUT... there is an o ring on the bottom where the bowl screws on the filter, this one more potential leak point... and...it is very difficult to get that bowl off when its time to change the filter. I tried the Racor one year, and because of how hard it was to get the bowl off (even after oiling the o ring) I went back to the Sierra filters I always used and never had a problem with. |

Great to know! But are there 10 micron filter? I will have to look it up. I just installed to 2 Racor filers (twin engines) so each engine has 2 filters. The stock one and the racor. So far so good! |
