Hello,
In my horizon I have an 1995 OMC Cobra 4.3 GL with a power steering system.
Last week I checked the sterring fluid reservoir and I saw, that I have to add a bit.
But I don't know, which fluid I can use for adding.
At the moment, ther is a red one inside. I think its ATF. But I don't really know.
In the OMC manual is mentioned, that I can use a GM steering fluid or ATF instead of the OMC stuff. But is it for adding, or only for refilling?
Here in Germany, there is nearly no option to buy "old" OMC stuff, so I have to buy a alternative fluid.

I bought the Quicksilver trim and tilt power steering fluid, but this stuff ist something between light yellow and light grey and clear.
Until now, I did not dare to fill it in, because I don't know if it is compatible together.

It would be very nice, if somebody can help me/tell me, which fluid I can top up.

Thanks a lot

Hi mate,

Any Dexron 2, 3 or 6 will be sufficient for your steering system - with DX3 being likely the easiest to obtain.
