On 2004 vista 288 with 4.3osi. I assume it needs to be done once a year. BUT, i just had the drives serviced two weeks ago and they put new drive oil in. Can I wait to the end of 2008 to change the oil again? Thanks, Tim

Do you winterize where you are? How many hours will the drive have on it between the last change and when you winterize?

Nah, for 2 hours I'd leave them alone, assuming no other drive work is due to be done. If you think you're going to put an insanely high number of hours on them next season, you could potentially want to get them serviced mid-season, but otherwise you should be good to go.

I'd leave them be too. The lube dosen't wear out even over several seasons. The main reason I see to change it every season is to be able to check it for water and metal filings. You should be ok with that issue till at least the end of next season. (IMHO)
