i have a 2000 Johnson 115 ob that starts hard. I prime the Line and it just cranks over. Prime a bunch more and it will finally start. Start great after initial start. Idles fine also. Just take a bunch of cranking to get started first time. Just cranks to start no spits or sputters etc until it finally starts like it is not getting fuel.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Shouldn't your primer bulb be hard after 10 pumps or less?

You may try checking primer bulb and replacing.

I assume your spark plugs look ok and are not wet or oily?

You didn't say 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

Best regards,
Doug

My last boat primer bulb was easy to get hard after 7-10 pumps. This is a new to me boat so I am not sure on this one. Plugs look good. I did replace the bulb today to check with no change. This is a 2 cycle in a Horizon 170.
