If you find that you ESA no longer stumbles the idle when shifting out of gear first check the micro switches, my old ones were sticking so I replaced them. The next thing that happened was that the ESA would not engage at all. I ordered a module from CDI Electronics and it fit perfect and worked just like the OE one that lasted 28 years...
Pretty easy job if you can get to the port left side on the engine right by the oil filter...
One point make sure the wires are routed so they are away from the steering arm and make sure the module has a good ground on the bracket that holds the ESA....
