I am looking for a part number for a hydraulic power steering kit. I am leaking power steering fluid like nobody's business. I think the seals are bad and want to change them out. It appears that it is leaking from the steering rod actuator. I don't think I need the whole assembly which is like $700 brand new. If anyone can send me a link or the correct part number for my year make and model, that would be more than awesome. It's a horizon 200 SL and it's a 1995 with a Volvo penta I/O. 5.0 liter ford motor.

You might try a search on here if you haven't already.

I had similar issues several years back and ended up having the actuator replaced. I tried to disassemble to old one, but didn't get too far. My recollection is that the rebuild kits may not be available anymore, but like I say, it's been a few years now....

You could also try taking the actuator to a hydraulic shop and seeing what they could do?

Good luck!

Erik

I have seen the seals available online on ebay. You may also take it to a hydraulic repair place, as I have been told the seals are fairly common, just not in the part # that VP designates them as.

It's my repair as well, I've babied it this far, but next winter it needs to be done.
