If what you see is surface rust and not chunks of rust flaking off then they may be OK. The important thing is to inspect the mating surfaces carefully after you scrape off the gaskets. If those are very deteriorated then you can get leaks. Clean off the gaskets and take a pic and post back....The fact that there are no rust trails inside the exhaust gas passage and you have no flaking rust is a good sign... |

Those manifolds look pretty good, and the risers don't look too bad either. But how do the risers look from where the water exits around the exhaust stub? They don't cost that much, so if you want the piece of mind, then change the risers and leave the manifolds. |

The risers look OK where the water exits. I think for the piece of mind I could spend the $316 for a pair of Barr risers and know I made a good decision. |
