I have a 1987 211 liberator with a gm 350. I run a 21 pitch stainless prop, top end it runs 55 mph at 4800 rpms. by myself it has a good hole shot, but with a couple of passenger's it takes for ever to plan off. Would a 4 blade prop help this problem?

yes, assuming you are running a 3 blade stainless now. You'd need to go lower pitch if you went 4 blade. I had a 3 blade 23 pitch and a 4 blade 19 pitch when i was pulling tubers or had more than 4 people in the boat. Worlds of difference.

See if you can borrow a 19P 4 blade from a shop/ friend.
Sounds like a 4 blade with lots of cupping will give you high speed performance and low end 'traction'.

None of the above.

Install a set of smart tabs for $120. Problem solved.

http://www.nauticusinc.com/smart_tabsSX ... m_tabs.htm

Call them for size recommendation. Every boat I've ever owned I install a set, they literally perform magic.

My cuddy cabin could NOT get on plane with 6 people onboard unless 1-2 went in the cuddy. After spending 30 minutes installing the smart tabs, it went to getting on plane with 8 people at 1/2 throttle in a couple seconds and gained 1-3mph top speed.

Ha! :o
You could enjoy an early retirement by swapping every ski boat's 4/ 5 blade prop for a pair of spring actuated plastic tabs. :?
