Last summer I fried the upper gears to my OMG Cobra outdrive and had the whole lower unit replaced. Are there people out there that repair outdrives? Other than the gears, the case is in immaculate shape so I'd hate to see the whole thing go to waste. Corey |

There are companies which rebuild and sell outdrives. They usually add a core charge to your outdrive purchase as an incentive for you to send the old drive to them when you buy a new one. They in turn rebuild your old drive and sell it to someone else. Knock on wood but I have not had to buy one. However, I'd suggest putting it on Craigslist "as-is" and describe what went wrong with it. |

Crowley Marine sells rebuilt Cobras. My mechanic in Long Island can still rebuild them... |
