Hey Guys (& Gals),
I am a new boat owner , leaving the pwc world.I bought a 2000 Four Winns, with a Volvo 5.0GI engine. My question is regarding flush out.I bought the muffs ,put them on the outdrive, and turned the pressure on low,The only water coming out was at the muff seal.
I started the engine for 30 secs or so and nothing poured out anywhere other than where it was supposed to go in.Am I supposed to let my engine warm up to open the thermostat?I've read where people dont run the engine at all. What am I doing wrong ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Jeff

No need to put in low pressure on the muffs. Make sure you open it up and give it enough water. My 248 5.0 Gxi take about 15 seconds before the water circulates through the system and then out.

Ditto - turn the pressure up and wait 10-15 seconds.

+1

More pressure - Make sure you arn't starving the impeller. Wait and let it warm up.
