Nothing but StaBil for me. All the engine manufacturers recommend it by name, and it's available at WalMart in large bottles.

Does anyone use it for other than winter storage? Other fuel additives?

I don't wait for winter storage to stabilize. Whenever I know I'm going to be putting gas in the boat I take a bottle of StaBil with me, and add the appropriate amount based on the amount of gas added. That way, if some family crisis (etc.) comes up and the boat sits for a long period, I don't have to worry about the gas. It isn't a lot of trouble and it's one less thing to worry about. Gas has already begun the process of going bad before you even pump it, even though it doesn't get bad enough to cause problems for quite awhile.
