Just did a quick search and only came up with this part.... https://www.boatpartheadquarters.com/OM ... -13431.htm Says its for that model of engine 5.7gsi,But im getting ready to call my local boat parts dealer and I know they dont carry much at all on volvo parts,Just wondering if this part can be swapped out by another stat if need be,,Or if I just need to order this exact part only? Just thought Id ask before I talk to them. Thanks |

Needs to be that part. Do not use an automotive stat it will cause problems. Actually I would get the OE Volvo instead of the GLM in that link. Sierra makes pretty good aftermarket. The stat fits into the housing and is held in by that rubber ring. Not like an auto stat that fits into the big hole in the intake. Also it must be a 160 rust resistant stat. An auto stat will let the engine get too hot and rot out fast.... |
