So since we've had the boat it always takes 15+ seconds to start after sitting for 15+ minutes after cruising, it always starts just cranks forever. It's getting to the point of just plain annoying. Its fully tuned up, new TFI module, new coolant temp sender, and it's only had E0 marine fuel in it all season. I assume its vapor lock but starting to wonder if high pressure fuel pump is starting to die as I can hear the low pressure pump every time still. Going to check fuel pressure at the rail just to see before dumping few hundred dollars in fuel pumps....OMC 5.0 EFI

Well 2 new fuel pumps went in last night, now time to wait for this cold front to go thru to get back to the lake. Only odd thing is the new low pressure pump when engine was at idle running on the hose the pump got noticeably hot to touch.

FYI, I did not buy direct from any marine source as the pumps are Carter pumps that I found on this Iboats thread. I picked them up for $62 each on rock auto instead of the nearly $500 from a marine source. They came with the Volvo penta part number stamped right on them, along with marine use and made in USA.
