That really sucks. Definitely go somewhere else. I found a bad marina years ago and never went back.
When you do it yourself you know things are getting done but it's a balance of having the time and using the boat. It's nice(beside high $$) to just call the mechanic to have them do something and show up on the weekend and drive the boat away instead of spending hours in the bilge rather than the beach.

You might want to point out that they charged you for things that didn't get done but I recommend not yelling. They probably don't care and you will just get even more aggravated. Loosing business is a non aggressive move that will hurt them in the long run.

Do it yourself. They are incompetent crooks. Get a service manual and ask questions on here and on the Volvo I/o forum over at i boats.com. In a few seasons you will be a pro!

I would get my money back, never give them any more business, and tell everyone I could what they did.
I tell the shop I use that I want all replaced parts put in a bag and left in the boat because I want to see what kind of shape they are in.

I would consider talking to the service manager while trying to keep your cool, I know its not easy but trust me this makes a difference. Often times marinas will only have one or two decent mechanics if they are lucky and you may have gotten the shop flunky with a drinking problem. Hopefully the manager will be appalled and rectify the situation for you. It really stinks you have to go through this, hopefully it all works out

I agree with all of the above. A calm rational discussion with the manager should help. The ability to show pictures and use the date and time the picture was taken should help. The shop may offer to do the work that you already did, they might refund, or refuse to do anything. That just depends on the person, your presentation, and any number of other factors. Good luck and I hope it works out.

Is that the thermostat they supposedly replaced? Looks like they pulled it from another boat.

Run, don't walk, away from this place.

*edit* Saw the pics of the plugs. They didn't do shit with those, so the thermostat likely wasn't replaced either. Scumbags.
