Just got a '96 200 Horizon 5.0 FL with a 15x17 aluminum prop on it. Haven't had it in the water yet waiting a new gimble bearing. Will want to have a spare prop anyway so I am wondering what size props others use. Also I sometimes run a river with a few tree stumps and wonder if a composite prop would be the way to go?
Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'm running a 14.5X19 on my 5.0 FI 238 Vista, and it's a bit underpropped. I have a few more HP then you, but also a lot more boat to push. I'm guessing you might want a 14.5X21.

I'm sure others will chime in, but there was 15X17 on my boat when I bought it. Was perfect for WOT until I changed the plug wires and found I had one cyl that wasn't firing. Computer was compensating so who knew. Anyhow, after that I had to reprop. The 15X17 will be too small for you I'm guessing

Im running a High Five on my 07 200 5.0L 220 hp Not sure of the pitch exactly, I let the dealer pick that out, but my hole shot and mid range performance is awsome, and i can still hit 48 mph. Not to mention the tightness it gives in quick corners, and hold it has in some chop. Highly recommend it.
