Here’s the problem I can’t trim up the boat while underway.
I can trim fine while setting still but when I am on plane and trying to put the boat into trim, the trim pump will pop its circuit breaker (located on the side of the pump) every time. I push the breaker back in and trim works again as long as I am not moving (up on plane, idling around seems to cause no problems). Checked fluid level and all is good. It is a 94 OMC Cobra 5.0L, otherwise in excellent condition.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Bad voltage regulator? Just a guess, based on blowing the circuit breaker when underway and the alternator is able to kick out more power.

Didn't look at it from that point of view. Good idea. Any ideas on how to check that out? Everything else on the boat (power wise) seems to work good.
I'll look in the manual to see if it says anything about that.
Thanks!
