Can anyone tell me what part needs to go here? There is a vertical threaded hole in a part of the block that sticks out to the right of the crank and below the RH frost plug when looking at the back of the motor (motor out of boat). I presume it is a drain for the block? Looks like it should have a threaded plug of some sort, as at the moment it is hosing water out!

That could be but the drain plugs on these are further back like in between the motor mount and starter. Post up a pic of what you’re referring to....

Yes it is a threaded plug with 4 sides. It is actually a plumbing plug same as used in plumbing. Same thread. Lowes and summit racing has them.
