| Post subject: | DP leaking gear fluid from Drain plug |
Hoping the collective can help with a silly issue. I recently changed my gear oil in my outdrive. 2000 268V with DP. Ordered 3855081 O ring which i thought was correct but it didnt seal. The old O ring was shredded when i removed it so i couldnt compare the two. Looking a VP site it looks as if they changed the design and drain plug w/different part numbers. Anyone have a clue as the the size of the O ring OD/ID or the correct part number? Thanks |

I use o ring 955981 on bottom drain plug. 3855081 is for the vent screw. |

I can't say what the correct o-ring is for yours, but I use 3855081 for the drain/fill plug on my '02 SX. |
