Volvo 320-CE-B. The raw water cooled engine was marina winterized with antifreeze. Is it safe to start it up if connect a hose to the fresh water flush port(blue plug). I want to run it for a short time before it goes in for survey and sea trial.

When I trailered, I did that all the time with my blue flush port on the 5.0gxi. If you put antifreeze in there, just be aware the flush port when used is going to push it back out through your outdrive. You may want to catch the bulk of it in a 5 gallon bucket when it comes out rather than having it go all over the place or into the lake. This is why I just drain my block empty and never use antifreeze. That, and sometimes I will have to drain/winterize more than once if we get some lucky warm winter weather.
