Issue is - Port engine (511 hrs) starts fine but after idling for 15 minutes it will drop RPMs then surge and then stall out. it will restart immediately when I turn the key. Does the same thing under load. Boat had old gas which was removed beginning of 2025 season. It has Throttle Body Injection (TBI) and it has fresh gas, seafoam added to fuel, new fuel filters (old ones never showed signs of water), high pressure fuel pump (old had the VP paint issue), new plugs, rotor, cap, IAC, TPS and I am about to replace the MAP sensor. I have not checked fuel pressure at each pump but will be doing so this weekend. I do not have a code reader, so I am picking things off one at a time until the issue is resolved. I have not tackled the Fuel Pressure Regulator as it is part of the TBI and not a C-clip on a rail. I will tackle that next if the MAP sensor doesn't resolve the issue and if the fuel pumps show correct pressures. Looking for ideas from anyone who has encountered and resolved a similar issue. Also - I have owned the boat for the past 10 years - not a new purchase, just a new issue. Truly appreciated Bill |
