Hi All
I was wondering if anyone has added a remote fuel water separator to a 07 H180 with a 3.0 VP.I assume their is a reason why VP/Four Winns doesnt put one on the 180 but I dont know.

Howdy,

I added one to a Bayliner with a 3.0L engine. It was mainly to give the person a good water separating filter that is easily replaceable.

I would recommend putting on a Johnson/Evinrude setup, that way it will take a Volvo filter also and it will stick with what you have. Off the top of my head I think it is about $60 from a dealer.

I plan to have one fitted on my new H180 when it arrives( it is a month late now) To me it seems like a small price to pay for a little insurance against a whole lot of repair bills, especially with more and more ethanol being add to the fuels these days.
