Have not yet found a satisfactory way to remove the old oil. The marina pro vacuum pump was a disastor!! So many connectors to get the size of the tubing needed that twice I spilled oil. You'd think they would make it without all those connectors. Pumped and pumped and only got two quarts out!
Is there a oil changer that screws directly to the dip stick fitting?

I've put a female garden hose end on the tube. It attaches tightly to the oil dipstick. Tricliest part was increasing he tube size to fit on the garden hose end barb.

Larry,

If you have a mercruiser, the answer is a hose that bolts up the drain plug. You run the hose out the bilge, uncap it, and viola.

You can do some searches on http://www.boatingABC.com, or http://www.trailerboats.com. There has been a lot of discussion on this very topic.

Good Luck!

D

Thanks a lot....the ABC site was great. Seems the trick is to connect to the hose fitting on the dipstick instead of fishing a small tube trough the dip stick holder.
