Post subject:  "Normal" Oil Pressure & Temp?

I'm curious to see what others are getting as "normal" operating engine temp and oil pressure.

Usually at 3000 RPM I'm seeing about 40-50 on the gauge (assuming my gauge is correct) and summertime engine temp seems around 150 degrees.

Is this normal?

I have an '89 Vista 245 with the 5.7 liter Mercruiser (260HP).

Thanks!

our 94 180 Horizon with Ford 302. reads 150 on the gauge and the thermostat I just put in was a 160 (what the factory call for). I think our oil gauge reads 40.

Seems about right, but not all boat engine combinations should be the same.

Our 5.7L DP runs at 175 degrees and 40 to 50 on oil pressure, and that is normal for us.

40-50 oil pressure, 170-175 degrees at planing speeds.

88 4.3 Cobra---160* pretty much all the time....
oil pressure....hot idle is about 20 psi...any speed above 1500 rpm 45-60...this is using straight 30 Chevron Delo 400 motor oil....
