I think I finally figured out what's causing my sputtering, popping, issue. I pulled the tube up onto the back of the boat and drained all the water out, then went to start the boat and my bogging/sputtering problem reared it's ugly head. And then it hit me.... I think everytime it's done this I've pulled a tube out of the water and drained it.

So I'm thinking the fuel fill must have a small leak in it. Water is heavier than fuel so it immediately goes to the bottom of the tank, gets sucked through and causes my problem. What do you think? The only reason I'm questioning this theory is why wouldn't the new water/fuel filter I installed catch it? Is there a way I can test for a leak?

I am not sure how to test it, but I have a 93 210 Horizon and I just replaced the fuel fill on mine because it was weathered and cracking. It took all of about 20 minutes and about $20 so it would be easy enough, and cheap enough to test your theory.

Probably tough to test but, as mentioned, an easy and cheap item to replace and test your theory that way.

Great, thanks guys, I'll change that out. I thought for sure it would be a $50+ part.
