I'm looking hard at a 1987 211 Liberator with a new crate 7.4 mercruiser motor, I'm assuming carbed, and I think alpha I outdrive. It has a mirage plus 3 blade stainless 23p prop on it. They said it will go 55mph on top end. I realize the Liberator's are heavy, does that sound right? Would that be the right pitch prop for that motor and hull or do you think it was on there from the previous 5.7? If I buy the boat I'm just wondering if I'm going to want to buy a new prop too, I want the best performance for it, and as much mph as I can get on top. Also the outdrive is underrated for the motor as long as I'm not doing hard holeshots should it hold up ok?
