I am looking at some prop options for my new boat, and was wondering if anybody has any experience or opinions with this prop/power/boat combo. I am looking for good bottom end pull and good midrange performance without loosing too much top end (not that I spend much time at top speed). I have heard good reviews on other boats. How about a highfive? Ardy had mentioned a vengeance in another post, and it had been working out well for him. I guess that is an option too. |

Vensura was designed as a great new four blade prop by Mercury but never really lived up to its expectations. Primary use is for offshore 200+ horespower outboard applications. The blades on a Vensura are small in blade area. Not a good choice for a 3.0L I/O IMO. The Merc High Five is made primarily for high horsepower boats, of which a 135hp I/O is not. Vengance is a possibility however, but would not be my first choice. |

Thanks for the input Cap'n. You mentioned that a vengeance wouldn't be your first choice. What would be as far as stainless props go? |
