| Post subject: | outdrive won't stay up |
Hi All, New to this site and new to boating.I just bought a 1993 21.5 Sundowner and while transporting it home the leg lowers slowly on its own while in the up postion....Should I be worried about this?Is there a locking pin to hold it in place?it lowered all the down in less than an hour... thanks in advance |

You may need new seals in your trim cylinders but if they seem to be working ok, get some Sierra Trailering Clips which snap on over the cylinder ram in the up position. These prevent the drive from lowering while trailering. A Google search will show you various sources. Make sure you get the correct ones for your model of outdrive. TSR |

I'd consider it a problem worth figuring out and fixing. Trim fluid is leaking through the system somewhere. |
