Post subject:  swapping fuel filter?

I want to change my fuel filter but didn't see anything in the owners manual if I had to cut the flow of fuel before I unscrewed it?

I want to take it with me to the dealer to make sure its the proper part.

Is it just that simple unscrew and screw back on like the oil filter?

I'm worried the fuel may leak out while gone.

Thanks for the info

I have just used a ziploc bag under the fuel filter, unscrew it, let the fuel trickle into the
bag until it stops. Discard the fuel, and take the filter with you.

Just like a oil filter! You can put a rag or bowl down to catch any drips, but they will evaporate before you return.

That was too easy and at the same time eliminated the buzzing sound the fuel pump was making.

The fuel filter was probably to old and the pump was having a hard time pumping.

I also had problems with the throttle responding poorly at lower rpm's so I will see this weekend if this will also correct the problem.

Cheers
