| Post subject: | MES starter vs. OEM |
Recently, my starter went out on my 98 5.7 gsi VP DP. I pulled the starter, and found it to be an MES 5399M, instead of an OEM. The mes brand runs 150 and a replacement Merc, (supposedly the same as VP), is 215. The mes offers a 5 year warranty, and Im not sure about Merc. Does anyone have any experience with MES?? Should I stick with an OEM merc product in here? Thanks for the input!!! Gary |
