Post subject: | '06 Horizon 180 engine issues - HELP! |
I put my boat in this weekend for the first time in a little over a month. It started up ok and was idling fine at first. When I put it in gear it would choke out. It did this several times before I finally slammed it in gear quickly...it puttered at first then took off. I ran it for a good 2 miles but when I came back to the marina, lowered my speed and put it back in neutral it cut off again. I'm thinking maybe there is some bad gas in there or some ethanol build up???? I honestly dont know. I bought some sta bil ethonal gas treatment which I put in yesterday along with some fresh gas. I ran it for appx.20 minutes in the driveway. However, when I reved up the engine (2500-3500 rpms) and dropped it back in the neutral idel position it cut off again. Has anyone else had this issue before? Any ideas how to fix this? |

Did you recently fill up or has the boat been sitting a while? I would guess probably just a simple gas issue... |
