Alright.. The boat runs great 98% of the time, no problems. After weve been playing on the water for an extended period (maybe 4 or 5 hours) the motor wants to die in idle. Ive got to put in neutral, rev it up, then throw it in drive before it dies again. Then after driving it for 5 or 6 minutes straight at about 25 mph it runs great the rest of the day. Any suggestions? Im thinking something with the fuel- fuel filter, carb clean, things like this. Does this sound about what I should do?

I think your headed in the right direction but could be an engine compartment heat issue. Try turning on the blower to get some cooler air to the engine.

I agree...it does seem like a little vapor lock going on....running the blower may help, but I would check to see what condition the fuel lines are in and to see that they are not routed close to the engine.

Check fuel lines, change filters and check the fuel vent to make sure its clear and see how that works.

Agree on the fuel system concerns, I'd suggest doing the big water separating fuel filter and don't forget the small one at the carb inlet if it's a Rochester Q-Jet...When you change the water separating fuel filter if you can get a glass jar and pour the gas into that and let it sit, see if you wind up with a layer of water on the bottom. If so that could be your problem...
