I just bought a 1988 freedom 160, what should top speed be in good running order. The prop looks new and in good shape. Right now she does only about 32-35mph trimmed out in the sweet spot. Friends say its going faster and I should GPS it. Any thoughts will be appreciated

I found your engine size in another post of yours. The Four Winns site doesn't specify for the 88 year, but a 1990 170 Freedom with the 3.0 liter 130 hp engine does 39-42 at WOT. You should see those numbers as well.

Also, speedo's are pretty useless in my mind. GPS is the only accurate way to measure your speed.
