Thought this might interest some.

Factory-original parts and accessories are now available online for Volvo Penta engines and drives, at the Volvo Penta Online Store affiliated with iboats.com:

Hope this isn't seen as spam, and no I'm not affiliated.

Great find. Apparently WI is no longer in the US since I receive this message:

Quote:
The Volvo Penta Online Store is only accessible to visitors located in the United States**. Please contact your local dealer for information concerning Genuine Volvo Penta Parts

I'll have to work this out with their Customer Service. It's always nice to have another source for parts.

Doug russell.com still appears to be cheaper. Looks like this volvo site charges the retail price. Ie. my riser them 209, DR 184.79. I just ordered 1500 in parts through DR. They forgot to send a riser, and didn't specify that the gaskets are included with the circ pump and risers but they are taking care of me. They are good folks to deal with IMO.

I agree. I've ordered from DR several times and they've always bent over backwards to make me happy.

Wish I could say the same. I odered parts from DR thinking it would be faster, ten days later no parts. Emailed DR twice, no replie. Called customer service and was told whole order was held while they waited for a backordered hose clamp. I explained that I could get a hose clamp anywhere so please send the order out. Four days later still without parts. Called cutomer service again, given the same story again. Finnaly got order 20+ days after ordering online. Next time I think I'll just fax the order to a dealer any ask them to drop ship.

Just ordered some parts from DR. They had to order some in. They shipped two day once they got them in hand. I only asked for ground. So far no complaints about DR. Hope it stays that way.
