Mine's been in salt water at least half of its life and corrosion on the drive is a part of salt water life. If you go onto Interlux's or Pettit's website, they have instructions for painting aluminum, its an involved procedure but can be done. I don't know that you must sandblast, if you hand sand it and then prep the aluminum (alu starts to oxidize almost immediately and thats one reason why it's hard to get anything to stick to it). I use the Interlux Primcon primer (3 coats) and the Trilux antifouling paint for aluminum.....
If you really want to have it 'blasted, try to find a shop that restores classic cars, they must have access to that service.
