I am getting Some jerky steering while underway. The jerks are while turning and feel like little jerks on the wheel every 2 inches or so. Any thought on the diagnosis? |

So this will not happen at the dock with the engine warming up? Too easy to do, have you checked the power streeing level in the pump? |

I'm not familiar withe the steering set up on the newer Volvo drives but I'd look to see if the fluid level is OK, no leaks, and also find out if you are supposed to grease the steering ram every season. I know on my old OMC you have to grease the ram and the steering actuator. I have done this each season and the steering in this boat is smooth from lock to lock and effortless, like the very light power steering of old school American cars. |
