I own a 1996 Four Winns 205 Sundowner with the original trailer. It's a single axle. It's been dipped into salt water for 20 summers, but we do our best to take care of it and fix problems as they arise.
There is surface rust on parts of the trailer.

Take a look at the latest conundrum. The wheel cover appears to sag on one side WHEN THE BOAT IS LOADED on to the trailer. You can see the wheel is square with the axle, but the wheel well is pulled inward just an inch or less.

The other side looks true and square.

The axle is three years young.
New wheel bearings.

The boat tows just fine...this is just something I noticed.

Here's the trailer without the boat. It is on uneven ground so I can't make judgements, this is just for your reference.

UPDATE: Took it to a trailer shop in town and they see that the passenger side rail of the trailer is leaning inward just s touch. This may have happened (probably happened) when a mechanic was changing the bearings in the wheels and the jack slipped off the support and the entire trailer crashed on top of the safety support stands. it was quite a jolt when it happened. I did not notice the change in angle attitude until the boat was on the road. The trailer shop was more concerned about the rust on the crossbar rails than the twisted side rail. Shopping for new (used) trailer.
