Has anyone thought of replacing the Bunks with Rollers instead of redoing the carpet?? If you have done this how do you like it of course?

I have thought about putting some kind of plastic on my bunks sort of like "crazy carpet" but am afraid it would trap water and rot out the would. I am glad you brought this up because my boat is in the water and the bunks need new carpet bad... Anybody else have some thoughts?

Adding rollers is pretty expensive.....I have roller trailer and added 8 additional ones to the rear bars to support the boat better and it wasn't cheap...
I'd look into the slick bunks...the bunk trailer in general will be less maintenance than a roller but where I am you have to use a roller because of the tide changes the water depth 7-8 feet and if the ramp is shallow you'd never be able to load on a bunk trailer at low tide...
