It doesn't matter. That's right. They will all give trouble, not because of what lights you have but because a trailer frame makes a lousy ground. Run seperate grounds and any lights work. Your white trailer harness wire is grounded to the tongue. Run ground straps from there to each frame rail and from there to each light housing. Simple.
I have regular lights and they work. In salt water.

Could someone advocating switching to LEDs point out a good replacement for the taillight units on the Four Winns trailers? I've found plenty of 1157 bulb substitutes, and various ones that could be hacked into submission, but is there a bolt-on replacement that doesn't look like a hack job?
