Ben I think your truck will do just fine. When I went from my Durango to my 2500 I stopped using the WD hitch, not sure how the rear end springs on Tundra's are but you may not need it.

Go FW or aluminum is my suggestion. Loadmasters are nice but you pay for it.

I would get the lightest trailer possible. Aluminum. Call the boat yards, they got stuff in the used pipe. The Eco Boost is pretty cool, I saw it at SEMA last year. It's not a replacement for diesel, but for the average yuppy riding around in his F150 on 22's it will be quicker and should be better MPG then the standard V8. Towing a trailer? No clue. Probably horrible. Modern diesels can also almost double the MPG compared to their gasoline counterparts in any situation. They also have power off idle, where gasoline engines do not. Towing a heavy load that makes a world of difference. I drove a Chevy 3500 Duramax with a 3 cubic yard dump bed for a summer. Filled with rock or empty, I couldn't tell and it didn't care either.

Wow this is great entertainment for the winter months. Ben I am on my second FW trailer and have had no issues with either of them except for the crappy tires! I have never had electric brakes so I can't speak for that. The surge brakes seem to be just fine for me having towed our Vista, with a Tundra down some busy highways and at times some heavy breaking Here is a local trialer shop that makes a pretty good product and I have never heard anything bad aboujt there trailers. It's roughly a 2.5 hr drive from Port Huron on the Canadian side. http://www.crowntrailers.com/

Yeah I guess you can say things got a little weird I've been calling around and so far Venture is the cheapest, but surprisingly Loadmaster is the second cheapest and that's well equipped! I've checked on Trailmaster, Heritage, Integrity, EZloader, Loadmaster Aluminum(Fl.),Loadmaster(OH), and Venture. I have a few more calls to make on new ones and even a couple used one's, but right now it's between a Loadmaster or Venture.
