If I had to tow that fast for sure I'd up grade to 16" rims and speed rated LT tires. Trailer tires won't cut it unless the DOT gets serious about requiring them to be speed rated. Especially down South with the summer heat. I remember well summer trips even up here in the Northeast worrying about the bias ply tires we had to use overheating. A friend of my parents put a set of Michelin steel belted radials on his '66 Pontiac Le Mans and it was like a new world. We had to wait for the mid 70s though for Detroit to finally start putting decent tires on their cars.
