Welcome to the forum.

To follow up on my purchase, I recieved my posts and the steel uprights are only 36" after all. I am not sure where I went wrong, but I was.

Having said that I am confident they will do the trick. The PVC poles have a much thicker wall than I anticipated, and they are very rigid.

Been considering it for years and finally pulled the trigger. On our last trip we launched a couple miles from Loadmaster trailer in Ohio so we stopped by for them take the neccesary measuremnets on the way to the launch, and picked them up on the way home...worked out perfectly!

We have only launch and loaded with them once since adding them but I can already say it makes loading a lot easier.

I love it! I wish I had seen this sooner. My brother-in-law is headed to Loadmaster to pick up a trailer for his Regal. He may very well be there now. Do they keep the boat centered when you load?

We have trailered with ours most weekends this summer and love them. Make launching and loading a breeze.

I don't power onto the trailer, we walk the boat on And off with lines. On a number of occasions people have mentioned to us how simple we make the process seem. I credit the uprights.

My purchase was partly inspired by the video in the link below. I don't launch solo but he makes some good points.

We load in the same manner...more of gentle float on than a power load which requires the trailer to be a little deeper. Without the side guides my wife would have to stand with a dock stick in one hand and a dock line attached stern in the other to guide it while I pulled the trailer out, but with these guides it did all that by itself and fell into place!

Flyer51: It was that windy loading experience last time we visited you that made us finally get these. We were one more attempt from just leaving the boat another weekend because of the wind and I really think with these guides I would have gotten it first try. Tell your BIL he made an excellent choice going with Loadmaster, we absolutely love ours

They do help in the wind; I had to pull the boat before storms a few times and in a breeze once you get the bow centered on the first set of rollers or bunks it keeps the stern from moving from side to side.
Those of you with big heavy boats keep in mind that you can bend the steel supports if you're really off or you get hit with a strong gust.
I've had mine on about 10 years and would put them on any trailer I used...
