Hey, I've been boating for almost 4 years without a truck I figured it's time to get one. http://www.roadmastersf.com/2007_Toyota ... 692166.veh 15 cash, and they're fixing the front bumper. All the good options like SR5, TRD, tow, etc. |

Nice Yota. I'm a Nissan fan myself, but that should do the job nicely. |

Really 2WD Ric? not really a truck now is she? More like a station wagon with an open back...you might as well get yourself a little girly Chaparral to tow around behind her...hehe JK, looks like a nice ride and I wish my tow vehicle was red to match my vista. |

Hopefully it has a limited slip rear (most likely due to the TRD package). At my local ramp a the beach behind my house you need 4x4 because you will have your rear tires in the sand at the end of the ramp. If you have good concrete ramps that do not have slime on them it may be fine. I bet plenty of people in the South use 2 wd trucks to launch and retrieve boats. Here you will want a 4x4 just to get to work in the winter LOL..... |

Well on the crap E10 fuel the EPA overlords force us to use I get about 12 around town and 17 highway from my 07 Hemi with MDS. Straight gas gives about 2 mpg better but since the there is no freedom of choice here (by the people for the people I guess not) that's what we are stuck with. |

In typical Toyota fashion, that interior looks as exciting as a beige coloured Camry! ![]() |

Meh not happy about the tan, but beggars can't be choosers. It's not impossible to change down the road. I've been looking for months it's the only TRD edition (5.7 381hp, tow package, trans cooler, engine oil cooler, 4.30 ratio LSD, beefier suspension, 10k lb tow capacity) at any decent price. The only others I can find are CPO trucks around 24k but have around 30k less miles. Not paying 9k extra for that. Can't wait to finally hit up some other water at my pleasure. Yes I'll eventually sell my car and this will be my daily. |

Ric, I'm curious why it has that rear axle ratio. Yes I read the options on it, so no smart ass response please. As a licenced tech, with the options listed, this truck was probably specially ordered to have the piss pounded out of it. With that axle, its gonna be a gas pig too. The price should be a red flag as well. I just don't want to see you end up with a hunk-o-junk that smart tabs cant fix. Do a little more homework. I know you're capable. |

Winter Sux wrote: The price should be a red flag as well. Yes, red flag when it comes to a Tundra. I shopped used trucks about a year ago and it was between the Tundra and Nissan Titan. I ended up buying a 2007 Titan SE 4x4 for $13,000 with about the same mileage as yours because the 2007 Tundra (even a 2 wheel drive one) was outside of my budget. Those trucks are pricey. |

The 5.7 Tundra with tow package comes standard with the 4.3 rear gear....its compensated for with OD tranny gear. That's not special order, just how its setup standard. That gearing gives line pull for the 10k tow rate. My Ram has same tow capacity, its just geared differently between tranny and differentials. I've had the Tundra and it tows the same as the Ram I have now. That price is in line with 2wd models here anyway. I don't see the flags personally. It had the business console which you will like for storage....I would call your local Toyota dealer and have them pull the regional service and repair history on it...they will gladly do it for you as most dealers will....Toyota links all service records by region...at least here they do and Florida may be in same area as Texas. Toyota uses an advanced breaking system to accomplish limited slip...very effective system....I have same system on my wife's V8 4-Runner. You can turn it off if you need the spin in an oh....sheet moment in total about to get stuck situations. If in mud the breaking system with shake the fenders off trying to figure out what to do....especially with 4wd. |

Fuel economy on the Tundra 5.7 isn't good but neither is the Ram 5.7...strange but you can drop engine size and get the same bad MPG. I got around 15mpg on my 2010 Tundra but it was 4x4. I would guess 17mpg would be expected, but if towing you get crap MPG with any make truck. I can get 20+ with the Ram Hemi if i drive level, straight roads and keep it at around 65. That never happens more than a minute or so. |
