I'm looking for a spare tire and mount for my 99 220 Horizon. Any suggestions on the best mount to go with? I'm looking to try and find a rim locally since I assume that the shipping will be obscene and I have a friend who can get me a discount on the tire. I live near St. Louis so any insight would be appreciated. The rims on there currently are 14" with a 5 lug pattern. Thanks.

Skert

I don't have one of these, but I do think they are a great idea. I carry a spare hub with me anyway. This would make it even more convenient:

That mount is pretty slick. Thanks for the tip.

I used a piece of galvanized 1 5/8" unistrut, two pieces of 3/8" all thread by 16", lock nuts, and washers. It cost me about $12 and works just fine.

I have a suggestion for the location of your spare. I have my spare bracket mounted to the side of the tongue just a few inches forward from the tip of the bow. That way I can climb into the bow of the boat while on the trailer. (Step on tongue, then spare, then up to bow).
