The hitch coupler is detached from the tongue by removing 2 pins. The tongue is keyed so as to only accept the removed coupler.
With this setup though the coupler is below the tongue so the ball height would need to be lowered.

I just pull the pins from my swing tongue and take them in the garage, and put a lock on the coupler. If they want it bad enough to come up with pins that will work for the tongue and get the lock off, before I have fired off six .357 rounds, well the, God bless them!

I blocked it took the wheels home, took the folding tongue pin, put a lock in the hole and locked the tongue. oh and its chained to a tree. :shock:
