Hello,
Getting ready to renew my towing service for Ft. Meyers / Cape Coral Florida area.
I had Sea Tow last winter, but luckily never had to use it.

I thought I would ask who people prefer if either. Maybe there equal, just who may be closer.
Both companies are close to my location.

Gold membership is $179 for Sea Tow and $189 for BoatsUS

Searched and looked through towing threads. Was surprised this hadn't been asked a 1000 times :-)

Thanks,
Doug

I having towing through my boat insurance provider (Progressive). In my region, it is less expensive than the other options and just as easy to use.

I have BoatUS. It is quite a bit cheaper on the Great Lakes. $72 Used it once a couple years ago when a bearing on my trailer gave out. I don't have the full towing coverage but they did arrange the tow truck and paid the first $50 of the tow cost.
Worth every penny if I ever got stranded on Lake Michigan. For less than a tank of gas I get piece of mind and they send out a pretty cool magazine.

Same as GottWhat. Mines through Progressive. I'm pretty sure it came with the policy at no extra-cost.

I have Boat US and used them once in 14 years; it is well worth it...

Thanks guys for the input.
My car and boat insurance cover me on the road.
Just checking for on water service in Florida.

I don't have to renew until 12/1, so maybe I'll see if they have any discount coupons at the boat shows.

Doug
