Hello, Can anyone answer this question? All the lenses on the trailer tail lights are red. But the wiring harness is 5-pin with a blue circuit for a backup light. The lights activate for the brakes and turn signals, nothing when in reverse. As I ask it, this sounds kind of a dumb question, but what the heck... |

No back up lights on trailer. The 5th wire is for a solenoid valve to close the brake line so you can back up. Otherwise, when you back up you are compressing the surge brake master cylinder in the hitch coupler and applying brakes. |

You may be able to add a backup light by hooking in with the blue though....never thought about that and would be nice to have. |
