Ok this is going to sound dumb but who here has had to replace their trailer jack? I only ask because I am having to replace mine. The gear set in the old one is missing the pins that hold it in place and it has been chewing up the gears inside. I found the right jack for my trailer and it is only $41 plus shipping. I don't have the original Four Winns trailer because of the box frame design it rusted from the inside and was no longer safe to tow with. I now have a Magnus trailer with the Fulton snap ring jack. So who here has had to replace theirs

I have to replace my trailer jack every couple of years. Salt water isn't kind to them....Nowadays, I just buy them from Harbor Freight.

I replaced mine with one from harbor freight as well. Very simple 4 bolts and nuts.

The jack looks easy to replace as long as it has the snap ring design, and the backing plate is welded to the trailer and I don't want to have to cut it off and wield it back on. I will have to check out harbor freight as I didn't even think of them.

the one I got from Harbor Freight I simply put it next to where the original one came off. The worst part is it scratches the paint off the trailer when I swing it up.

I replaced mine with a Fulton F2. I had a fabrication shop cut off the old plate and weld on a new one, then primed & painted to match.

I recommend getting the new plate from Fulton. It's sold separately but it'll make your life easier.
