I noticed in my owners manual that they say to wax your trailer once a year. Anyone else do this? I just did mine today as I assume it was never done before, but man is that a lot of work just for the trailer. |

It's probably a good idea, but if the trailer is used much I wouldn't expect the wax to hold up at all. Besides, the inside of the trailer frame is rusting just as fast as it can anyway. |

I did notice some rust spots on the trailer already. Kinda surprised as my old trailer was 18 years old with no real signs of rusting. |

Little wax can't hurt - keeps things looking good. |

I use to wax the outter portions of mine a couple times a year with just some Mequirers cleaner wax that I use for my car. It actually quite easy. I don't use a polisher. Instead, just take a cloth and wipe down in horizontal strokes along the main frame and fenders. Always looked much better (it was black) when I was done but I trailered so much it wasn't pristine. Looked good from a few feet away. |
