I really like your tow vehicles. Your truck is nice too!

I wish Ford or Chevy/GMC would drop a diesel engine in their SUV's. I think the Excursion was the perfect boat tow vehicle.

+1. Though I am happy with my Durango I would be happier with a diesel Excursion. Hard to find. A friend of mine bought one last year and though he has had I think a few problems with it, he claims excellent mileage pulling his big ass triaxle trailered 32 ft center console fishing monster.

Looks like I killed my 2005 F150 on the way home yesterday. 140k miles and a hope that I'd get through the summer without problems. I looked at TruckTrader today and 04-05 Excursions with -100k miles are $20k plus. I may be looking at a new Suburban, Yukon XL, or Expedition EL.

Somehow I missed this post. What happened to your F150?

The thing I don't like about trucks is that when they're a few years old (and at end-of-warranty) they cost almost as much as a new one.

I had purchased a used F250 King Ranch with the 6.0 Diesel two years ago. I bought a warranty for vehicle thankfully. That truck was in shop constantly. Yesterdays repair made the 10,000 dollar mark in repairs on the truck.....i drove to dealership next to repair location and traded it in on a Dodge Ram Hemi.

Wow does this truck have power.....and a backup camera:-)

1994 Powerstroke. 230,000 miles. Never been one to give up on a good truck because of age!
