Bk, The wheel and tires you are explaining should be 15"x6" rim, 6"x5.5" bolt pattern, with a 4.25" center hole. Tires should be 225/75/15 might want to check this out http://www.westmarine.com

Sadly west marine is a hose job!

They wanted 189.00 for a wheel and tire setup for my trailer, which I ended up paying $200 for both, 2 new wheels and 2 tires.

Now that you have the lug pattern best bet is to try a local tire shop.

thanks for the wheel info- i've been looking at a few ebay sites that look to have identicle or close to my trailer wheel setup. i think the wheel and tire (D rated) combo was between $75.00-$80 with a $25 shipping cost- i'll still have to check with them as to the maker of their tires tho.

Trailer tires /Wheels are more difficult to find then you would think. I ended up going to a camper dealer & had to order one. I think I paid $140 ish.

Here is a link to the thread when I purchased a similar spare last year: http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1658

I ended up buying the wheel from Northern Tool and purchasing an ST rated tire from a local shop and having it mounted. I also purchased a 6-lug mounting bracket.

Mine is cell phone activated.

After nearly being sideswiped many years ago changing a tire on the driver side of my truck, I decided it would be safer to just let a road side service company change it for me. I pay $2 per month on my auto policy and $4 per month on my boat policy for road side assistance to include towing. I pay $5 per month for roadside assistance on my motorcycle. Oddly enough the motorcycle even includes the "keys locked in the vehicle" clause just like the cars. I asked about it with the boat and received a dead silence on the other end of the phone.

I've carried a spare tire in my engine compartment ever since I got a flat out on the water one day and the jack wouldn't reach the bottom of the lake.

Thanks impulse!

I do have a spare tire, which is now mounted on the trailer, and I do have the means to change the tire with me. I just choose to let others do that for me. It is $4 per month on my boat policy and is cheap insurance IMHO.

edit: I meant to add that my vehicle insurances are all through the same group. USAA

I need the same spare for my 97 Horizon 200 single axle. I'd love to get some of the nice alloy (non-rusting!) wheels to put on all the way around since I'm shopping for new tires anyway. I would put one of the old wheels on the spare carrier and just add the new wheels and tires for that tricked out look. :-) Anyone know of some cheap/good alloy wheel sources?
